Hi Guys!
My name is Tammy Zimmerman and my husband is Mike. We look forward to meeting each of you.

Mike and I will be working with the group of college students that are going to school outside of Paducah.

What a great group this is. We plan on doing this by:

  • Praying for each of you by name.
  • Sending a monthly email that will include a current bible study idea and link from the
    current sermon series at church.
  • We will send cards and letters from time to time. If you can email your mailing address
    that would be great.

Feel free to reach out to us with ideas, topics, prayers or just life that happens. My cell is 270 210 5349 and Mikes cell is 270ā€559ā€3682. I hope each of you finds a church in your location, but we hope this will allow you to stay connected to Heartland and support your walk with Christ. Your relationship with Jesus is the most important relationship you have. Thank you for allowing us to participate.

Bible Study Discussion

The Bible study is from the Casting Crowns book, The Very Next Thing. These are notes and ideas:

Key Theme from week One: What if I gave everything to God. Truly gave myself to Jesus.

1 Samuel 17:1ā€54 David and Goliath

What an awesome story. David gave everything

The Philistine were on one side and the Israelites on the other. A champion named Goliath challenged them. For 40 days this went on.

David was a shepherd boy. He took care of sheep. His dad sent him to check on his brothers who were at the battle camp.

Goliath, the champion came and challenged them again and all the men were afraid.

The cool part!!!! David asked the question……….Who is this person that he should defy the armies of the living God. He knew and believed God was with them. It gave him courage.

Saul heard David say this and called for David. David said sure I will fight this giant Goliath. David was young, not trained, not a solder but he was ready.

David said the Lord will deliver him. verse 37 and he did!!

God picks the most unlikely people.

David decided to give everything to God!!!!! I pray I can do the same thing.
