Devotional
One of the most challenging aspects of following Jesus is His command to forgive. It's not a suggestion or a nice idea - it's a requirement of discipleship. But here's the beautiful twist: forgiveness isn't primarily about setting others free; it's about setting ourselves free. When we hold onto unforgiveness, we become prisoners of our own bitterness. Jesus calls us to forgive not because what others did wasn't wrong, but because what He did for us was so right. We've been forgiven an immeasurable debt, which gives us the capacity to forgive others. This doesn't minimize the hurt we've experienced, but it provides the path to freedom.
