Stop (Love = Guard your people) - “Please let us stop this usury” (vs. 10)
Reflection: Love is one of the most neglected yet most vital virtues of leadership and any movement of God. If love isn’t at the heart of taking the mountain it is doomed before it begins. We start to love by stopping anything that might harm the people that we are linked to and with whom we are taking the mountain. Nehemiah stopped the practice of usury which is making profit off interest. Love starts with what we refuse to do because it harms the people around us.
Prayer: “Abba, search my heart, my actions and my words. If there is anyway I am being unloving, especially to my brothers and sisters in Christ, then let me see it so I might stop it.”
