DAY 25
Reading: Nehemiah 6, Nehemiah 7
Vision - “So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the Nethinim, and all Israel dwelt in their cities” (Nehemiah 7:73)
Reflection: This verse is a segue between the genealogical record of the people at that time and the ultimate goal of the entire project; namely worshipping Yahweh according to the Scriptures. Resilience demands keeping our eyes on the prize and valuing the goal more than what it costs.
Prayer: “Abba, fix my eyes on what matters most that my life might press toward that mark and let me treasure it so much in my heart that I will not quit seeking it until the day you make it so.”
