DAY 30
Reading: Nehemiah 8, Nehemiah 9
Healing - “And we are in great distress” (9:38)
Reflection: Revival also brings the grace and freedom to bring our pain to God. To lament it honestly and stop the charade we have pretended to be. We are humbled to know that we are wounded, and we need God to heal us and make us whole. The person who admits their need for help is much stronger than the one who holds it in. Fear isolates the latter. Love calls to the former.
Prayer: “Abba, I am wounded, tired and carrying the weight of so many painful situations. I am in distress because it is impossible to be in this fallen world and not be. I admit that I need your healing, peace, grace, strength, and hope; and I need the help of your people so I can be whole and useful to you.”
