WEEK 3 DAY 2
The Power of Being Seen
Devotional
Before Jesus spoke a single word of His famous sermon, He saw people - really saw them. Not just their outward appearance, but their inner struggles, hidden pain, and deepest longings. He noticed the exhaustion behind their smiles and the hunger in their souls. This divine perception still happens today. Jesus sees beyond our carefully curated social media posts, beyond our Sunday morning smiles, beyond our 'I'm fine' responses. He sees us completely, and amazingly, loves us completely. This complete seeing isn't meant to shame us but to heal us. When we allow ourselves to be fully seen by Jesus, we open the door to true transformation.
Bible Verse
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. - Matthew 9:36
Reflection Question
What parts of your life have you been hesitant to let Jesus see, and why?
Quote
He doesn't expose you, to embarrass you. He reveals so that he can rebuild.
Prayer
Loving Father, thank You for seeing me completely and loving me anyway. Help me to trust Your loving gaze and to stop hiding the parts of myself I think are unacceptable. Thank You that Your seeing leads to healing. Amen.
