WEEK 6 DAY 5
From Confession to Obedience
Devotional
True faith moves beyond mere verbal acknowledgment to active obedience. Many people claim Jesus as Lord but live as if He's merely a helpful advisor. Yet authentic discipleship requires both confession and compliance. When we truly recognize Jesus as the Christ, it should naturally lead to following His commands and embracing His ways. This isn't about perfect performance but about a heart that genuinely desires to please Him. Our obedience becomes a response of love to the One who loved us first.
Bible Verse
'Then a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud: "This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!"' - Matthew 17:5
Reflection Question
Where is God calling you to move from merely agreeing with Him to actively obeying Him?
Quote
You haven't really listened if you don't obey.
Prayer
Father, help me to be not just a hearer but a doer of Your Word. Give me strength to follow through on what You've shown me, and let my obedience flow from a heart of love for You. Amen.
